What is an Aerial Render?

An aerial render is an AI-generated top-down image of a property showing the proposed pool + backyard transformation. Aerial is the only viable angle for pool sales — pools occupy yard footprint, invisible from Street View.

Why aerial is the only viable angle for pool sales

Pools sit in backyards, occupying horizontal yard footprint that's invisible from the street. A traditional Google Street View "after" render of a pool customer's house would show the same house — the pool is behind it. The only camera angle that captures the pool's actual location, shape, and relationship to the existing yard is from above.

This is why Pool Launch uses aerial rendering instead of the Street View rendering used by Light Launch, Solar Launch, Roof Launch, Paint Launch, and Landscape Launch.

What gets rendered onto the aerial

How aerial render quality affects close rate

The visual representation drives the emotional buy-in. Customers who see a high-quality aerial render of their actual yard with the proposed pool overlaid commit at substantially higher rates than customers who receive generic catalog pool photos with brochures. The personalization — "this is what your backyard becomes" — is the differentiator.

This is the core thesis behind Pool Launch — mailed acquisition with a custom aerial render of every prospect's yard.

The render vs the engineering drawing

Aerial renders are sales-conversation visualizations. They drive the "yes I want this" decision. The formal engineering documentation — plot plans, permit drawings, equipment specifications, setback calculations — happens during the contract phase with the builder's design department or a licensed engineer. Renders set vision; engineering ensures buildability.
